Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 17 — Angkor Social Innovation Park (ASIP) celebrated its 3rd anniversary at Baitong Hotel & Resort Phnom Penh, underscoring its unwavering commitment to sustainability, social impact, and the empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Cambodia.

The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, partners, and supporters to commemorate the organization's achievements and to discuss future initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and resilience among Cambodian SMEs.

ASIP is excited to announce the upcoming launch of the i-Stories Cohort 2, building on the success of the first cohort. This project aims to identify innovative processes or products that improve company competitiveness and raise awareness among key actors to foster an innovation culture in Northwestern Cambodia's business community. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the visibility and uniqueness of Cambodian SMEs in local and international markets through capacity building. This new phase promises to further empower businesses to adopt sustainable practices, reinforcing Angkor Social Innovation Park's commitment to driving positive change.

During the 3rd anniversary celebration, our honorable speakers highlighted the crucial role SMEs play in Cambodia's development. They emphasized the need for innovative solutions and resilience strategies to help SMEs thrive in an ever-changing economic landscape. Speeches underscored how a country's progress is deeply linked to the innovative potential of its population, and fostering such potential within SMEs is vital for Cambodia's future.

ASIP has introduced several innovative approaches to support Cambodian SMEs through the i- Stories project. One of the key initiatives is the digital transformation workshops, designed to train SMEs in leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance their operational efficiency and market reach. These workshops equip businesses with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the digital landscape, enabling them to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.

In addition to digital transformation, ASIP has been actively promoting green business initiatives. These initiatives encourage SMEs to adopt sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact and promote long-term economic viability. By integrating eco-friendly practices into their operations, businesses can not only contribute to environmental conservation but also gain a competitive edge in an increasingly eco-conscious market.

A critical aspect of ASIP's strategy is fostering a culture of innovation within SMEs. To this end, ASIP organizes innovation hubs that provide SMEs with the resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities necessary to develop and implement innovative solutions. These programs are designed to inspire creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, enabling businesses to develop unique products and services that can compete on both local and international stages.

Moreover, ASIP is committed to building resilience among SMEs by offering training and support in adaptive business strategies. This includes helping businesses develop contingency plans, diversify their products and services, and build robust supply chains that can withstand economic shocks. By focusing on resilience, ASIP ensures that SMEs are not only able to survive but thrive in an unpredictable economic environment.

As the event concluded, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to support sustainable development in Cambodia. The 3rd anniversary celebration of Angkor Social Innovation Park not only highlighted the organization's achievements but also set the stage for continued success in the years to come.
