Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 16 – The search for a missing helicopter, which went missing during a training exercise, enters its fourth day with no new updates.

General Chhum Socheat, Secretary of State and spokesman for the Ministry of National Defence, confirmed on Tuesday (Jul. 16).

He added that coalition forces were intensifying search activities and expanding the scope of search operations.

"During the four-day operation, there have been no specific clues regarding the helicopter or the two people who went missing with it due to the complex geographical factors in the area, including climate and dense forest issues. However, our forces continue to work hard and are committed to the search. We will keep the public and the media informed of any results," Chhum Socheat underscored.

He also called on all social media users to be cautious when sharing any unidentified information about the helicopter, as some groups have recently exaggerated the case and fabricated misinformation for personal gain.

It should be noted that a helicopter went missing in the Cardamom Mountains during a training exercise.

Cambodian Minister of National Defence Tea Seiha confirmed that there were only two people on the helicopter, one pilot and one assistant pilot.
