Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 8 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed gratitude for the strategic decisions made by all investors, particularly French investors who have chosen to invest directly in Cambodia or collaborate with local partners.
The premier spoke on Monday morning (Jul. 8) during the opening of the 2nd Cambodia-France Business Forum at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
Cambodia-France Business Forum was organized under the collaboration between the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia (CCIFC). The first Cambodia-France Business Forum was held on 15 January 2024 in Paris, France during the official visit of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet to France.
"Cambodia is fully prepared to welcome and assist investors and business people wholeheartedly. I appreciate the wise decisions of all investors, particularly French investors who have chosen to invest directly in Cambodia or partner with local investors," the premier underscored.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also expressed optimism that following the second Cambodia-France Business Forum, Cambodia will attract more investment and business from France, potentially surpassing previous records.
During the event, the premier announced Cambodia's candidacy to host the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026 in Siem Reap. This prestigious event will highlight Cambodia's cultural heritage and commitment to Francophonie values.
