Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 28 – President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that achieving full peace for over 25 years has allowed Cambodia to mobilize all its resources and national forces to rapidly develop the nation.
Samdech Techo spoke on Friday (Jun. 28) on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), held at the CPP’s headquarters.
Samdech Techo added that such rapid development has elevated Cambodia from a low-income country to a lower-middle-income country, with aspirations to achieve high-middle-income status by 2030 and become a high-income country by 2050. He pointed out that the nation's progress continues positively.
"These noble achievements clearly indicate that Cambodia is moving in the right direction with peace, democracy, the rule of law, and development towards a bright future," Samdech Techo underscored.
"So far, the Royal Government of the 7th mandate, under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, is successfully leading the country. Peace and political stability have been firmly maintained, security and social order have improved, the economy continues to grow, society has stabilized, and national prestige has been enhanced on the international stage. This clearly reflects the CPP's right decision to hand over leadership to its successor," Samdech Hun Sen added.
It should be noted that through the win-win policy of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodia ended the civil war completely and achieved full peace on 29 December 1998.
