Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 25 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet highly values innovative education and training. He underlined that when Cambodian human resources receive training from foreign parties, they must learn to live on their own to expand their knowledge and self-efficacy.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Jun. 25) during an inauguration of Cambodia Cyber University Network at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia.

Prime Minister Hun Manet recalled the training assistance provided by the Republic of Korea to establish the network for CLMV countries, including Cambodia.

"When we receive training from them, we must know how to expand ourselves. We cannot depend on them forever; we learn to live on our own," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei added that we can learn from others even when resources are lacking. For example, in technology training, we can utilise external lessons, resources, teachers, and data to enhance our programs. This innovative approach ensures rapid improvement in education quality nationwide.

It should be noted that the Cyber University of Cambodia (CPC) network is another new initiative of the Royal Government of Cambodia, led by the Ministry of Youth Education and Sports to promote education in Cambodia in line with technological advancements.

The Cyber University of Cambodia network aims to promote Cambodia's education sector by enhancing the quality of higher education through sharing digital resources and infrastructure among member universities. Since 2022, the Cyber University of Cambodia network has consisted of 12 public and private higher education institutions: Institute of Technology of Cambodia, Royal University of Phnom Penh, National University of Battambang, Svay Rieng University, Heng Samrin University, Tbong Khmum Royal University of Agriculture, National University of Management, Chea Sim Kamchay Mear University, Kratie University, Battambang Pedagogical Institute, Phnom Penh International University, and Angkor University.
