Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet warned that any individual who commit corruption in the recruitment of civil servant will face legal consequences.

The premier spoke on Monday morning (Jun. 10) at the closing of 2023 and opening of 2024 training courses of the Royal School of Administration in Phnom Penh.

"We require the involvement of the Anti-Corruption Unit. I urge the committee and all stakeholders to collaborate in fostering integrity, thereby ensuring credibility and enhancing the capabilities of our officers. Currently, failing the civil servant exam opens up more job opportunities. I specifically request the participation of candidates and their families," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei continued that the entrance exam for civil servants must start from a spirit of love and a genuine desire to serve the people, not as an investment. You have to invest in strength, energy, and effort to learn.

The Royal Government strives to ensure the accuracy and integrity of this exam because it is a significant task to encourage citizens who aspire to become civil servants. Samdech Thipadei continued that voluntary entry and dedicated efforts foster a mindset of success through hard work and integrity.

On this occasion, Samdech Thipadei thanked all the candidates and their families who believed in the organization of the exam in the past. He urged those who have not yet succeeded to continue working harder.
