Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 6 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet reminded the public service officials that civil servants are the servants of the citizens.
The premier spoke on Monday morning (Jun. 10) at the Closing of 2023 and Opening of 2024 Training Courses of the Royal School of Administration in Phnom Penh.
"Nobody wants the headaches of negotiations or the uncertainty of receiving public services. Therefore, we must provide stable and reliable public services, offering opportunities to all users, including ourselves and our families," the premier underscored. "We are servants of the citizens, not their bosses. We serve the citizens as we serve ourselves, because each of us is also a citizen."
Samdech Thipadei continued, "We must work together to build a more efficient and stable environment for accessing public services, both now and in the future. It is the duty of every official to participate in this effort."
On the occasion, the premier also advised public service officers to consistently improve the public service environment for the citizens, create positive outcomes for society, and reduce negativity.
