Phnom Penh (FN), May 31 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet called on artists of all forms to be extremely careful to avoid producing content or performances that are harmful to society or that promote racism, including color and religious beliefs.

The premier spoke on Friday (May 31) during the meeting with Cambodian Artists under the theme "Heirs" in Phnom Penh.

"In the context of the digital revolution, where the sharing of information in society is faster and more challenging, I would like to remind all artists to be extremely careful to avoid producing, creating, or performing any content that is detrimental to our society or our national unity," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei continued that through the works and talents of Cambodian artists, they have become a bridge to bring Cambodia to the world, sharing the experiences and knowledge of Cambodian national history, including both the struggles and the pain. Additionally, their work serves as a catalyst for fostering cultural change and mutual respect.

In the current era of the digital revolution, Premier Hun Manet regards the role of artists as more important than ever. Each artist can be a goodwill ambassador and a cultural representative on the national and international stage, seizing opportunities to inspire national identity, renewed prosperity, and a love for protecting national culture.
