Kampong Speu (FN), May 30 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged unity to prevent religious extremism and avoid conflicts, speaking on Thursday (May 30) during an inauguration of achievements in the Buddhist Cultural Center in Kampong Speu Province.

"All religions must unite to ensure there is no religious conflict in Cambodia. This is fundamental, with special attention to extremism within each religion," Samdech Thipadei underscored.

Samdech Thipadei added that regardless of Buddhism, Islam, or Christianity, Cambodian people adhere to non-extremist beliefs. He highlighted Cambodia's religious harmony and a close-knit community, where Buddhists and Muslims live, study, and collaborate together.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei further underlined that religious leaders also serve in the armed forces and other government roles without discrimination.

At the same time, Samdech Thipdaei Hun Manet stated since wars originate from people's mindsets, it is essential to prevent all extremist ideologies, both religious and imperial, and work together to promote peace and stability for everyone's future.
