Kampong Speu (FN), May 30 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged stakeholders to support and advise on the technical standards, forms, and design standards for construction of religious facilities.
The premier spoke on Thursday (May 30) during an inauguration of achievements in the Buddhist Cultural Centre in Kampong Speu Province.
"The Ministry of Cult and Religion, along with other relevant ministries and institutions should collaborate in establishing technical standards, forms, and design standards for construction of religious facilities, ensuring compliance with rules that aim to preserve it as a valuable legacy for future generations of Cambodians," Samdech Thipadei underscored.
At the same time, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also instructed the relevant ministries and institutions to participate in the conservation and development of the natural environment in this centre. This includes maintenance, additional tree planting, and wildlife conservation.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet recommended that the Buddhist Cultural Centre be utilised to its maximum benefit for the socio-economic development of the nation, particularly, by attracting cultural tourism, given its suitability for education, the promotion of social morality, and the practice of Buddhist practices.
