Phnom Penh (FN), May 23 – The "Harmony" exhibition features works by seven talented watercolor artists, including Morn Phyra, May Sok, Seng Visal, Sou Kimsan, Im Seila, Im Pesey and Nhem Sopheap, combining colors to create aesthetically rich and meaningful paintings.
The exhibition runs from 12 May 2024 until 30 June 2024 at Shophouse Studio, Pteah Chas.
It aims to promote and inspire this technique to a wider audience, as watercolor art is currently unpopular with limited activities and artists. Since 2019, the artists have formed a group called "Plein Air Cambodia," focusing on live painting sessions in various locations across the country. They also participate in workshops and exhibitions domestically and internationally.
The exhibition showcases a diverse range of art, aiming to establish global connections and promote the field. The watercolor artworks, inspired by different areas and cultural activities, contribute to promoting tourism and culture for locals and foreigners.
