Phnom Penh (FN), May 19 – Cambodian Delegate Minister Jean François Tan said that Cambodia proposed to establish an exclusive special economic zone for South Korean firms.
Delegate Minister Jean François Tan spoke at the press conference on Saturday (May 18) on the outcomes of Samdech Thipadei’s official visit to the Republic of Korea.
"Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet proposed an initiative to establish an exclusive special economic zone for Korean firms," delegate minister underscored.
The delegate minister added that the initiative aims to create an environment where Korean businesses can establish an ecosystem or supply chain model. The Royal Government will partner with these businesses to provide custom-made solutions in a timely manner.
The premier also proposed creating a consultative mechanism for Korean businesses to engage with the Council for the Development of Cambodia twice a year. This initiative aims to provide Korean businesses with the opportunity to meet directly with the government bodies responsible for investments on a biannual basis.
