Seoul (FN), May 18 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet unveiled a plan to promote direct flights between Siem Reap and major South Korean provinces such as Busan, Jeju, and Incheon.
The premier spoke on Saturday (May 18) during his meeting with the Cambodian community in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
During his visit, Samdech Thiapdei Hun Manet met with the Governor of Jeju Province and signed an agreement to promote direct flights between Jeju and Siem Reap.
"We have discussed various sectors, especially people-to-people ties, tourism, education, and cultural relations. Yesterday, I met with the Governor of Jeju Province to sign an agreement with Siem Reap Province. During the bilateral talks with the South Korean president, I also touched on direct flights from Incheon to Siem Reap. Hopefully, in the future, we will have direct flights from Jeju to Siem Reap and Busan to Siem Reap," the premier underscored.
Samdech Thipadei mentioned that the elevation of Cambodia-South Korea relations demonstrates that the Cambodian and Korean leaders share a common vision and value the relationship between the two countries. In this regard, Samdech urged the private sector in both countries to prepare a package of tourist destinations for direct flights.
