Seoul (FN), May 17 – South Korea's Booyoung Group expressed satisfaction with its investment in Cambodia, mentioning that it is not only for profit but also for the kingdom’s socioeconomic development.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Lee Jong Keun, Founder of Booyoung Group and Chairman of the Board of Booyoung Khmer II Co., Ltd., on Friday morning (May. 17) in Seoul, South Korea.
On this occasion, the founder of Booyoung Group thanked Samdech Thipadei for allowing him and his delegation to pay a courtesy call. He also recalled the significant remark of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on 16 May 2024, stating that Korea and Cambodia are brothers.
Lee Jong Keun informed the premier that the company's decision to invest in the kingdom is not solely for profit but to contribute to the Royal Government's efforts in socioeconomic development, aiming to improve the living standards of Cambodian citizens.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei expressed his pleasure at meeting with the founder of Booyoung Group in South Korea. The premier thanked the company for its contributions to Cambodia's socioeconomic development by investing in multiple sectors such as construction, banking, and other potential industries, which align with the company's strengths.
Premier Hun Manet encouraged the company to continue engaging with the relevant ministries and institutions of Cambodia to coordinate remaining tasks and expand investment opportunities in other potential sectors, fostering both the company's growth and the well-being of Cambodian citizens.
