Seoul (FN), May 17 – The First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) Sun Chanthol led a delegation and Cambodian investors as well as representative of the private sector Neak Oknha Sear Rithy to meet with a delegation of prominent Korean business leaders on 16 May 2024 at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.

The meeting focused on strengthening Cambodia-Korea economic relations and exploring potential investment opportunities in Cambodia.

The Korean delegation included senior representatives from leading companies such as LG Electronics, Hanshin, Daewoo E&C, EMART Group, LX International, CAMKO Motor Company, and Mastern Partners Corporation. Cambodia's private sector was led by the Chairman of the WorldBridge Group, Neak Oknha Sear Rithy.

The meeting discussed Cambodia's favourable investment opportunities and potential for Korean companies to develop new production and real estate projects in the kingdom. Some Korean companies expressed interest in investing in new projects and expanding existing operations in Cambodia.

As a result, WorldBridge Group announced that it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Daewoo E&C to develop real estate projects in Cambodia.

Taking this occasion, Neak Oknha Sear Rithy expressed confidence in the potential for a mutually beneficial partnership between Cambodian and Korean businesses. Neak Oknha mentioned the importance of sharing knowledge and cooperating to promote the economic development of the two countries.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both sides to explore further ways to cooperate and strengthen the economic partnership between Cambodia and South Korea.
