Phnom Penh (FN), May 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged all investors to uphold compliance to ensure order and competitive, speaking on Thursday (May 9) during an inauguration of Cambodia Confederation of Investors Association (CCIA) at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Samdech Thipadei asserted that ensuring compliance necessitates close cooperation between the private sector and the Royal Government. This collaboration aims to foster mutual trust between businesses and governmental institutions, enhancing accountability and effectiveness in both sectors.

Premier Hun Manet said, "In business, as long as the private sector joins the Royal Government, it is necessary to work together to strengthen compliance, which means that everyone must unite to implement the principles we have agreed to, compete tirelessly, can easily execute the plan, and build mutual trust between the government institutions and the government institutions, and between the private sector and the private sector."

According to the premier, upon establishing the Association, adherence to common principles is paramount. All members must abide by the rules and regulations to ensure the association's sustainability. Failure to do so will inevitably lead to its dissolution.

Samdech Thipadei added that if all members of an association adhered to the same standards, those in compliance would find it easier to fulfil their duties, as clear standards would be established. He likened the implementation and adherence to compliance to traffic laws, facilitating collective travel and ensuring the prevention of accidents.

On the occasion, Premier Hun Manet continued that ensuring the longevity of business operations necessitates accountability not only from state institutions but also supportive roles from them. He called for a collaborative partnership between state institutions and the private sector to create an attractive and competitive investment environment in Cambodia.
