Phnom Penh (FN), May. 7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet shared five recommendations to relevant ministries and institutions to further promote the kingdom’s business environment and ensure the effectiveness of the implementation of the National Single Window (NSW) application.
The premier spoke on Tuesday (May 7) during an official launching ceremony of the National Single Window system at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
The five recommendations are as follows:
1. Relevant ministries and institutions that have not yet participated in the implementation of the NSW must participate as soon as possible. Ministries and institutions that have already participated must continue to pay attention to the implementation to ensure a high-quality and efficient work.
2. The Steering Committee of the NSW must monitor and evaluate the implementation, continue to improve and expand the system functions, as well as broaden connectivity to other business and trade-related information technology systems to meet actual needs of businesses.
3. Private sector should participate and take full advantages of this NSW and provide constructive feedbacks for further improvements.
4. To address challenges of the private sector, ministries and institutions must continue to pay close attention to improving business environment and trade facilitation, and especially pursuing successful implementation of all measures set out in the 19th Government-Private Sector Forum, held on 13 November 2023.
5. All ministries and institutions, under the guidance and coordination of the Digital Economy and Business Committee, must persist in transitioning crucial services online. Together, they will collaborate on establishing a unified framework, which Samdech Thipadei aims to designate as the "Digital Ecosystem for Business." This framework will serve as a cornerstone for expanding further reform initiatives, enhancing the business environment in the country, and boosting Cambodia's investment attractiveness.
