Phnom Penh (FN), May 3 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet underlined that journalists must dare to correct their mistakes, speaking on Friday (May 3) during the 6th meeting with journalists at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre.
"If journalists make a mistake and fail to correct it, it indicates ill-intentions," the premier underscored.
Taking this occasion, the premier highlighted the influential role of the press, stressing the need for it to uphold values and receive support from citizens. Samdech Thipadei also mentioned that for the press to maintain its influence, it must prioritise honesty, accountability, and responsibility.
Premier Hun Manet reiterated that the Royal Government not only welcomes positive information but also negative information, provided it is delivered ethically.
