Phnom Penh (FN) Apr. 27 – Bruneian King Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muʿizzaddin Waddaulah will visit Cambodia on 29 April 2024.

Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, wrote on his social media platforms on Saturday (Apr. 27).

"The purpose of the king's visit is to have breakfast with Samdech, whom the king regards as his youngest brother (the Bruneian king is the eldest brother, followed by Thaksin as the second brother, and Samdech Techo as the youngest)."

No official meeting is scheduled. The breakfast meeting will be attended by Bruneian Prince Abdul Mateen and Samdech Techo's sons, namely Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Hun Manith, and Hun Many.

After breakfast, Samdech Techo will accompany the king to the airport for his return to his country.

Samdech Techo mentioned that upon the king's arrival in Cambodia on 29 April 2024, he will welcome him at the airport and transport him to the hotel.

Samdech Techo confirmed that such a gesture is not unusual, as in 2011, when Samdech went to Brunei, the king drove himself to meet Samdech at the airport and transport him to the hotel.
