Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 25 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet encouraged all artists to unite by joining or forming arts associations, fostering a spirit of collaboration, unity and solidarity to achieve shared objectives and collective success.

The premier spoke on Thursday (Apr. 25) during his gala dinner with artists at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"I would like to encourage artists of all kinds to join the association or become members of various art associations to enhance collaboration and mutual support," Samdech Thipadei underscored.

Premier Hun Manet underlined that in the realm of arts and culture, artists serve as role models and influencers across various circles, particularly through direct or indirect performances, thereby upholding the values of national arts and culture. The personal value of an artist is greatly influenced by their individual decisions.

Therefore, prior to engaging in any activity, all artists should adhere to principles of morality, virtue, and truth in their expression through writing, speech, gestures, actions, and attire, while upholding dignity and moral standards in society, thus contributing to the reinforcement of national identity.
