Hainan (FN), Mar. 28 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to the King, expressed satisfaction with China's active mediation efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine.

The premier spoke during the opening ceremony of Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024 on Thursday (Mar. 28) in Hainan province, China.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen believed that such actions will set a good example for other responsible members of the international community, speeding up negotiations and achieving a ceasefire in Ukraine, as well as in Cambodia and other war-torn regions around the world.

China has stepped in to mediate the prolonging dispute between Russia and Ukraine, with Chinese envoy Liu engaging in talks across key capitals. Liu's recent visits to Russia, Ukraine, and the European Union headquarters signified a concerted effort to broker dialogue in the conflict, which has persisted for over two years.
