Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 26 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to the King, also the President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), asked Cambodia and South Korea to pay attention to five main sectors of bilateral cooperation.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen received a courtesy call by Chairman of the Maekyung Media Group Chang Dae-whan on Tuesday (Mar. 26) at the CPP headquarters.
The five main sectors are as follows:
1. Strengthen the bilateral relations between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea.
2. Promote the Mekong-Republic of Korea Cooperation to grow stronger.
3. Promote ASEAN-Republic of Korea cooperation to become more effective.
4. Promote Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
5. Promote Cambodia-South Korea cooperation within the framework of the United Nations.
In this meeting, Samdech Techo informed the delegation about the history of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea, which Samdech Techo founded and established since 1996. Samdech Techo underscored that through this diplomatic relationship, many Korean companies have come to invest in Cambodia, contributing to its development, infrastructure, education, health, etc. In particular, South Korea has accepted tens of thousands of Cambodian workers to work in Korea.
