Vientiane (FN), Mar. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and the delegation successfully concluded their official visit to Lao PDR on Tuesday (Mar. 26).
Samdech Thipadei and the high-level delegation arrived in Lao PDR on Monday (Mar. 25).
During the visit, Samdech Thipadei paid a courtesy call on Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith and held bilateral talks with his counterpart Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone to discuss elevating bilateral cooperation across a wide range of fields. They also exchanged views on sub- regional, regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
Premier Hun Manet and his Laotian Counterpart Sonexay Siphandone presided over the signing ceremony of seven Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) on border affairs and energy. Both leaders also welcomed the launch of direct flights between Phnom Penh and Vientiane, and discussed strengthening defence and security cooperation, energy, economy, and measures to promote cooperation in tourism, education, sports, and agriculture between the two countries.
Samdech Thipadei also received a courtesy call by President of the Lao-Cambodian Friendship Association Khambai Damlat, and met Cambodian Business Club members and Cambodian students.
