Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 21 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council of the King, also the President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), received a courtesy call by Vice-chairman of CAPDI and Former Speaker of the People’s Representative Council of Indonesia Agung Laksono on Thursday (Mar. 21) at the CPP headquarters.
Agung Laksono expressed his great pleasure that Samdech Techo allowed him and his delegation to pay a courtesy call on the occasion of their attendance at the Ramadan Iftar Dinner in Cambodia.
Agung Laksono conveyed greetings from Jusuf Kalla, former Chairman of CAPDI and former Vice President of Indonesia, and thanked Samdech Techo for consistently showing care for the Muslim people in Cambodia throughout his tenure as Prime Minister.
Additionally, Agung Laksono noted that Cambodia has continued to celebrate Ramadan Iftar Dinner annually, which serves as a clear indication that Cambodia does not discriminate against any religion.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed Agung Laksono that Cambodia consistently organises the annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner, which underscores the granting of full rights and freedoms to the Muslim people. Moreover, he underlined that this tradition continues to be presided over by the Prime Minister of Cambodia to date.
