Melbourne (FN), Mar. 4 – WorldBridge Group (Cambodia) Chairman Neak Oknha Sear Rithy, also Chairman of the International Trade and Investment Relations Committee of the Cambodian Oknha Association, participated as a panellist on a session titled "Leveraging Supply Chains and Investment" at the ASEAN-Australia Summit.
The summit brings together leaders from across Southeast Asia and Australia to discuss economic cooperation and regional development.
During his session, Neak Oknha Rithy shared his expertise as Cambodia's largest logistics provider, "I believe ASEAN generally, and Cambodia specifically, can play an important role in supply chain diversification for Australia. Cambodia is an excellent plus one choice and has significant resources to leverage, including a young population and fertile land.”
Neak Oknha continued, “Australian companies can be very successful in Cambodia and we hope to see more Australian investment in the near future."
He was joined on stage by Australian logistics leaders, Executive Chairman of Linfox Peter Fox, Group CEO of Team Global Express Christine Holgate, and CEO of Australian Logistics Council Hermione Parsons.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet is attending the summit along with heads of state from ASEAN. Prime Minister Hun Manet has been meeting with Australian business leaders to discuss investment opportunities in Cambodia. These high-level meetings underscore Cambodia's commitment to economic integration with Australia and the broader ASEAN region.
