Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 1 – At the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will lead a high-level delegation to the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations in Melbourne on 4-6 March 2024.
Accompanying Samdech Thipadei and First Lady Pich Chanmony will be First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Hangchuon Naron, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sok Chenda Sophea, along with key government officials.
The Special Summit is an opportune moment for Leaders to chart future directions together and further deepen relations through full and effective implementation of key priorities under the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Leaders are scheduled to adopt the Melbourne Declaration and the ASEAN-Australia Leaders' Vision Statement, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Friday (Mar. 1).
On the sidelines of the Summit, Samdech Thipadei will have bilateral talks with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and several ASEAN Leaders to further strengthen bilateral relations.
