Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 28 – Malaysian King Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XVII Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar expressed his satisfaction for the improved relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Malaysia.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet was granted a Royal Audience by Malaysian King at the Istana Negara on 27 February 2024.

Malaysian King expressed his satisfaction for the official visit of Samdech Thipadei to Malaysia and conveyed regards to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Samdech Techo Hun Sen. The king also expressed his pleasure at the progress of relations and cooperation between Malaysia and Cambodia.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei expressed his deep gratitude to Malaysian King Sultan Ibrahim for allowing him to pay a royal audience and also conveyed regards from Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni to the Malaysian king.

In addition, the premier also briefed Sultan Ibrahim on the recent 5th Senate Election in Cambodia and reported the outcomes of the bilateral meeting with the Malaysian prime minister. Both sides discussed strengthening and expanding cooperation in multiple sectors such as trade, economy, tourism, agriculture, defence and security, and education and training.
