Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 28 – Malaysian Speaker of the House of Representatives Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Johari bin Abdul considered Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet as the champion of Cambodian new generation of youth.
Malaysian Speaker of the House of Representatives spoke at the meeting with Samdech Thipadei on 27 February 2024.
During the meeting, the Malaysian speaker of the House of Representatives warmly welcomed the first official visit of Samdech Thipadei as the prime minister and his delegation to Malaysia. In addition, he also conveyed regards to Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
In addition, Tan Sri Dr. Johari bin Abdul also recalled his recent visit to Cambodia, noting the rapid development of Cambodia. At the same time, he considered Samdech Thipadei as the champion of the Cambodian new generation of youth. In this regard, he always encourages young Malaysians of the House of Representatives to visit and gain new experiences in Cambodia.
In his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the Malaysian side for the warm hospitality. Samdech Thipadei briefed on the outcome of the bilateral talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, saying that both sides pledged to boost cooperation in multiple sectors such as economy, trade, tourism, education, training, security, and defence.
The premier also thanked Malaysia for supporting and participating in various sectors, including providing scholarships for Cambodian youth. Premier Hun Manet also thanked the speaker of the House of Representatives for his participation as an observer for the kingdom’s 7th general election in July 2023, and updated the preliminary results of the recent Senate Election in Cambodia.
