Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister stated that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been giving significant attention to the priority areas of physical education and sports by offering incentives and extending various forms of support for the construction of physical infrastructure to bolster sports activities including equipping public spaces with sports equipment.
The premier spoke on Monday (Feb. 26) at the award ceremony for Cambodian athletes, who secured medals and titles at various contests, as well as coaches and assistant coaches, at the Peace Palace.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that under the umbrella of peace, national unity, political stability, and economic growth, the Royal Government remains deeply committed to sports development to enhance the capabilities of Cambodian athletes, enabling them to compete more effectively for their homeland.
Premier Hun Manet added that based on the numerous achievements, Samdech Thipadei hoped that athletes will persist in their efforts in training to enhance their abilities and readiness for upcoming competitions, aiming to secure more medals and victories for the motherland.
Samdech Thipadei underscored that the Royal Government of Cambodia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, will continue to provide support to the sports sector both morally and financially, and encourages all stakeholders to further bolster sports activities. This will ensure the sustainable advancement of national and international championships, fostering the development of skills and achieving greater success.
