Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet shared that success can be made possible if regularly monitoring and setting out mechanisms are actively implemented, speaking on Thursday (Feb. 22) during a winning ceremony for public service providers in education and health, held at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre.
"My advice is consistent monitoring and the establishment of a regular mechanism, recognizing that our suggestions may not guarantee implementation. Hence, a national mechanism should be in place, forming a dedicated team to oversee initiatives from inception to the conclusion of each mandate. A monitoring mechanism is imperative; we start with 50 schools as exemplars, extending the oversight and training process to 100, 200, and eventually, 1,000 schools," the premier underscored.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei recalled that in the past, a working group reported to Samdech twice a year for planning, implementation, and monitoring. Samdech acknowledged that checking only twice a year might not yield optimal results. He stressed the need for more frequent monitoring, suggesting a monthly check, ideally three to four times, to ensure adherence to the new concept and maintain consistency.
