Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 21 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council of the King, departed for Thailand to visit Thaksin in Bangkok on Wednesday (Feb. 21).

"I am on my way to Bangkok to visit my god brother, Thaksin Shinawatra, Former Thai Prime Minister,” Samdech Techo posted on his social media on Wednesday (Feb. 21).

After visiting Thaksin, Samdech Techo is scheduled to return to Cambodia on Wednesday afternoon.

Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was released on parole on Sunday (Feb. 18) after six months in detention, his first day of freedom in his homeland 15 years after fleeing in the wake of his overthrow in a military coup.
