Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 20 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced zero-tolerance for civil servants involved in drugs and expelled them from the workplace.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Feb. 20) at the 2023 annual meeting of the NACD at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

"I have recently signed a Royal Government order extending the enforcement across all government sectors. This signifies that civil servants and armed forces at both national and sub-national levels will face termination from their positions if found using or involved in drugs," the premier underscored.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei agreed to create a joint database between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Civil Service, and the Ministry of Justice to share data on civil servants fired from drug involvement.
