Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 15 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet highly valued self-awareness and hard-work to strengthen weaknesses, speaking on Thursday (Feb. 15) during an inauguration of the National University of Management II.
Samdech Thipadei underscored, “Knowing oneself is exceedingly important. Why do I say that? Because I myself am a testament to it. I oversee hundreds of individuals across various fields. Those who progress rapidly and triumphantly are those who engage in self-learning. They acknowledge their weaknesses and endeavour to explore and rectify them. Without the will to recognize their own shortcomings, individuals persist in ignorance until their dying day."
On the occasion, the premier added that self-learning can be done anywhere, anytime, with mentors and peers around. Humility in acknowledging one's ignorance leads to greater knowledge. Moreover, individuals must learn how to motivate themselves.
Samdech Thipadei further stated that in the past, Samdech had tried to ask the people around him, including his assistants, and among them, those who acknowledged their weaknesses were the ones who achieved success at their level.
