Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 8 – Jean François Tan, Minister Delegate attached to the Prime Minister, confirmed that Cambodia and Thailand have agreed to facilitate visas for migrant workers for the upcoming traditional New Year celebration.

The minister delegate spoke at a press conference on 7 February 2024 after Samdech Thipadei concluded his official visit to Thailand.

Jean François Tan underscored, "Cambodia and Thailand have agreed to facilitate the return of workers during New Year in April, for example, through reciprocal visa fee arrangements."

In addition, the minister delegate underlined that Cambodia and Thailand are highly committed to strengthening cooperation in tourism, in line with the slogan "Two Kingdoms, One Destination".

Please be informed that the traditional Khmer New Year will be celebrated for four days from 13-16 April 2024.
