Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 6 – Cambodian Prime Minister considered that assisting the people during economic challenges is as crucial as supporting the national economy amidst other crises. Samdech Thipadei affirmed that the stability of the national economy is inherently linked to the stability of the people's economy.
The premier spoke on Tuesday (Feb. 6) at the annual meeting of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation at the Ministry.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underscored, "Controlling the situation in each country not only aids the people but also stabilizes the national economy. The stability of the national economy is contingent upon the stability of people's livelihoods."
Each citizen represents a vital component of society, and the health of the national economy is reflected in the financial stability of individual households, the premier added.
The Royal Government of Cambodia has implemented several social intervention policies in recent years under the guidance of Samdech Techo Hun Sen to address the needs of both the people and the national economy promptly.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that social protection policies aim not to foster dependency but to cultivate a sense of ownership. They are designed to aid people in times of hardship and prevent living conditions from deteriorating. The former Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation holds the authority to assist people in times of need.
