Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 31 – At the invitation of Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Cambodian Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea will take part in the Third European Union Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum and the 24th ASEAN-European Union Ministerial Meeting in Brussels on 1-2 February 2024.

"The 24th ASEAN-European Union Ministerial Meeting will be co-chaired by the Republic of the Philippines, as the current country coordinator for ASEAN-EU Dialogue Relations, and the EU Foreign ministers will follow up on decisions made at the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit on 14 December 2022. They will also review progress in implementing the ASEAN-EU Plan of Action (2023-2027)," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Jan. 31).

"In addition, ministers will exchange views on future directions as well as regional and international issues of common concern and interest to advance the ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership and collective commitments for maintaining peace, security, stability, and prospenty for the two regions and their peoples."
