Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 30 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet directed Say Sam Al, Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, along with relevant ministries and institutions, to expedite and ensure an effective and accurate preparation of land registration around the Tonle Sap Lake.
The premier spoke on Tuesday (Jan. 30) at the closing of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries at the Ministry.
Samdech Thipadei stated: "This task is ongoing. We have taken the initial step in identifying locations as well as formulating various regulations defining Zone 1, Zone 2, and Zone 3. Therefore, the seventh mandate of the Royal Government will persist in ensuring the effective and accurate completion of this work. It aligns with the principles established during the sixth mandate by Samdech Techo."
Next step involves finalizing the registration after the Tonle Sap Lake Authority has re-mapped, re-marked the poles, and integrated them into the system, the premier added.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his hope for the completion of this task under the leadership of Land Minister Say Sam Al. He underlined that the Royal Government of Cambodia must effectively manage and maintain the Tonle Sap Lake.
