Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 27 – Kampot City, Kampot Province, won the 4th ASEAN Clean Tourism City Standard, valid from 2024-2026. The award ceremony was held at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024, which took place on 26 January 2024 in Vientiane, Laos.

The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024 is organized under the theme "Quality and Responsible Tourism – Sustaining ASEAN Future" with the participation of the Minister of Tourism and Tourism leaders from ASEAN member countries, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, as well as some partner countries and organisations.

At the invitation of the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism of Lao PDR Suanesavanh Vignaket, Cambodian Minister of Tourism Sok Soken led a delegation to attend the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024.
