Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 24 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet advised the Royal Army Command Headquarters to pursue further reforms to fortify the military's structure, capabilities, and weaponry.

The premier spoke on Wednesday (Jan. 24) at the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodian Royal Army Command Headquarters.

"I urged the Royal Army Command Headquarters to persist in restructuring and enhancing the capacities of our armed forces, which are already equipped with a diverse array of weapons," the premier underscored.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also called for continuous monitoring and, if necessary, ongoing structural reforms. He added that the changing situation, technological advancements, and evolving tactics necessitate a corresponding evolution in our armed forces.

"The future war cannot be fought using traditional tactics," the premier continued. Samdech Thipadei advised the Royal Army Command Headquarters to maintain a focus on training to effectively respond to technological developments and global trends.
