Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 23 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet encouraged the Capital-Provincial Governors to gather the information comprehensively in order to resolve issues within their jurisdiction in a timely manner.
The premier spoke on Tuesday (Jan. 23) during the closing of annual meeting of the Ministry of Information at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
Samdech Thipadei said that during the initial five months of the seventh-mandate Royal Government, Samdech efficiently tackled numerous challenges by leveraging insights from social media. He personally addressed and forwarded tasks and issues to relevant ministries, institutions, and sub-national authorities, prompting swift resolutions.
At this point, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also said that in the past, he has seen that some ministries and institutions have closely gathered the information within their jurisdiction to solve problems in a timely manner.
“Sometimes, the report under the administrative procedures is taking too long, making small things become big things,” the premier added.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also underlined the significance of using digital systems not just for receiving information but also for solving problems.
The premier extended gratitude to the media for disseminating accurate information and contributing to problem-solving, ensuring the Royal Government's leadership effectiveness in serving people at all levels. He also appreciated the swift efforts of sub-national authorities in addressing local issues promptly upon receiving information from social media.
