Paris (FN), Jan. 19 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed France's initiatives for peace and security for all in relation to the Middle East crisis, according to the Joint Declaration of the Dialogue between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and French President Emmanuel Macron on 18 January 2024 in Paris, France.

Both sides called for an immediate, long-term ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages. Both sides reiterated the importance of respecting international humanitarian law and called for coordination in providing assistance, as well as urgent measures to ensure full, safe and unhindered humanitarian access and preventing any insurgency in the region.

Both sides also reiterated the need for efforts from now on to open political paths and reaffirmed their adherence to the two-state solution as the only correct and lasting solution to meet the rights of the people of Israel and achieve the security and legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for an independent state, living in peace and security alongside Israel.
