Davos (FN), Jan. 17 – Lim Boon Heng, Chairman of Temasek Holdings, stated that Cambodia is an important investment destination in ASEAN.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Lim Boon Heng on Wednesday (Jan. 17) in Davos, Switzerland.

During the meeting, Lim Boon Heng thanked Samdech Thipadei for taking the time to allow him and his delegation to pay a courtesy call. He also congratulated Samdech Thipadei on his appointment as Cambodian Prime Minister.

During the meeting, Lim Boon Heng recalled his previous meeting with Samdech Techo Hun Sen and praised the admirable leadership of Samdech Techo.

Lim Boon Heng briefed Samdech Thipadei on Temasek Holdings, a Singapore-based company conducting business globally in finance, transportation, telecommunications, technology, advertising, and real estate. He underlined the company's intention to expand its presence in the ASEAN region, with Cambodia being a priority, and to increase investment in Cambodia, particularly in digital technology, renewable energy, and other vital sectors.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed Temasek Holdings' interest in investing in Cambodia. He underscored the Royal Government's commitment to creating a conducive and supportive environment for sustainable investment across all sectors in Cambodia. Cambodia welcomes investors from all countries, and the government has introduced new legal frameworks, standards, and mechanisms to facilitate and encourage foreign investments.

On the occasion, the premier also underscored the government's focus on establishing special economic zones and industrial parks tailored to the unique industries or circumstances of each country.
