Davos (FN), Jan. 17 – Cambodian Minister of Commerce Cham Nimol received a courtesy call by the Head of Investment and Services of the World Economic Forum Matthew Stephenson on 16 January 2024 in Davos, Switzerland.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation in establishing a database on supply chain treaties to facilitate investment for the Suppliers Database with Sustainability Dimensions (SD2) at the World Trade Organization and in Cambodia.

Additionally, they explored the World Economic Forum's support for further investment in multiple sectors, including the organization of regional agri-food forums and other events that gathering stakeholders in the agro-food industry.

The Suppliers Database with Sustainability Dimensions (SD2) was developed by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to improve the linkage between foreign firms and domestic suppliers, especially those domestic suppliers that can provide quality goods and services.

The database aims to both facilitate investment and contribute to significant development impact. Domestic suppliers can register their companies on the database, thus promoting their businesses with potential investors who regularly visit CDC website.
