Paris (FN), Jan. 16 – President of the Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF) Geoffroy Roux De Bezieux viewed Cambodia as a promising investment opportunity because of its political stability and peace. He pledged to support and promote investment goals in Cambodia among French investors.

During the meeting, the APF president briefed Samdech Thipadei on APF's intention to explore investment prospects in Cambodia. He underlined that it is a good time for French companies to consider expanding into Asian markets, with Cambodia, a founding member of the International Organization of Francophonie, actively applying to host the 2026 Francophonie Summit. The president is dedicated to disseminating information on investment opportunities in Cambodia, highlighting the country's full macroeconomic stability, political stability, and peaceful environment to enhance awareness among French companies.
Geoffroy Roux De Bezieux sees the upcoming 2026 Francophonie Summit hosted by Cambodia as a strategic moment to showcase investment potential to French businesses. He is optimistic about leveraging the historical positive relations between France and Cambodia to attract investors and foster economic collaboration.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei warmly welcomed and expressed his pleasure at the meeting with Geoffroy Roux De Bezieux. He underscored that, beyond the investments made by French companies in other nations, there is a significant opportunity for them to consider investing in Cambodia. He highlighted Cambodia's conducive investment laws and optimal environment, especially in emerging sectors such as new technologies, renewable energy, digital technology, infrastructure, and agriculture.
The premier also extended his gratitude to the APF president for his efforts in disseminating and providing additional information about Cambodia to French companies. Cambodia, he stated, is eager to integrate into the regional and global supply chain, and he appreciated the support in achieving this goal.
Samdech Thipadei expressed his hope that French companies would explore investment opportunities in Cambodia. He assured that the Royal Government is committed to implementing a pragmatic approach, creating a favourable business environment, and offering practical solutions to specific sectors to facilitate successful business operations.
