Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 15 – The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) wished to resolutely reaffirm its position that the CPP adheres to the "One-China Policy", recognizing the People's Republic of China as the sole legitimate representative of the entirety of China, according to a statement seen by Fresh News on Monday (Jan. 15).

“The CPP respects the principles of independence, sovereignty and non- interference in the internal affairs of any country and considers the Taiwan issue as the internal affairs of the People's Republic of China.

The CPP adheres to the independence of foreign policy based on law and the building of good friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and other countries around the world, respecting the principles set out in the UN Charter.”
