Paris (FN), Jan. 15 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that his mission overseas is to attract foreign businessmen to invest in Cambodia, in particular during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The premier spoke during a meeting with Cambodian community living in Europe on 14 January 2024 in Paris, France.
"I am traveling for more than 15 hours and having consecutive schedules with the sole duty of attracting and greeting world leaders, organizations, as well as foreign businessmen to tell the world about Cambodia,” the premier underscored.
Samdech Thipadei added that approximately 40 meetings scheduled during his six-day mission in Europe.
Premier Hun Manet led a high-level delegation to attend the 54th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, on 16-17 January 2024.
On the occasio, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the World Economic Forum as a gathering of top leaders in politics, economy, and business, consistently attended by Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
Emphasizing the significance of this participation, the premier underlined the forum as a platform to showcase Cambodia's policies on the global economic and business stage. In his role as the head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, he aims to articulate Cambodia's position and policies.
Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei underscored the importance of engaging in the global economic sphere to advocate for Cambodia's policies, ensure a conducive business environment for economic growth, and foster connections with other businesses.
