Tokyo (FN), Jan. 11 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen was warmly welcomed by Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio during Samdech Techo’s visit to Japan for eyes checkup.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen posted on his social media on Thursday (Jan. 11).
"Despite no longer serving as the Prime Minister, I, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, had the pleasure of meeting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, at the Prime Minister’s Office this evening. I am grateful to His Excellency Kishida Fumio for his warm welcome and continued friendship,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen
I extend my sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for consistently treating me as an old friend and for his warm reception.
I also want to express my appreciation to all the friends who took the time to meet and converse with me during my stay in Tokyo. Recently, I became aware of false information spread by extremist opposition groups, claiming that my health was in poor condition, casting doubt on my return to Cambodia. Let me reassure you that my health is robust and will endure until all extremists have been eliminated from Cambodia. I encourage those concerned about my well-being to prioritize their own health.
I am scheduled to return to Cambodia at 2 p.m. tomorrow, 12 January 2024. To the extremists, I urge you not to concern yourselves with my well-being and instead, focus on yours."
