Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet shared his experience and observation on successful reform, speaking on Tuesday morning (Jan. 9) during his meeting with Grade A high school students at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

"Successful reform requires four main factors. First, a long-term vision rooted in national interests, with the people as the foundation. Second, a high level of commitment from all stakeholders, especially committed leaders and operators. Third, active involvement of stakeholders, in particular the citizens. Fourth, the sacrifice for the common interests," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei mentioned that reform is not a revolution. It does not abandon the previous policies but to strengthen and sharpen further achievements for national interests.

Regarding successful reform, Samdech Thipadei gave practical examples of the reform of the High School National Examination (Bac II), which was introduced in 2014.

Samdech Thipadei added that with the successful reform of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, he believed that most people will continue to support this reform.
