Koh Kong (FN), Jan. 8 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that the ultimate goals of the Royal Government of Cambodia's policy are to continue to maintain peace and improve people’s livelihoods.
The premier presided over the inauguration of “Samdech Techo Hun Sen Koh Yor Bridge” and met with about 11,000 workers in Koh Kong province on Monday (Jan. 8).
"In the post-war period, up to now, our politics has shifted from triangle [strategy] to rectangle and now to pentagon. Our priority also shifted from peacekeeping to strengthening human resources, roads, water, electricity and technology," the premier underlined.
“Our two primary goals are: first, to maintain peace, and second, to empower the people to become more prosperous,” the premier added.
At the same time, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet reaffirmed the commitment of the Royal Government to strive to improve the country and the lives of the people in response to the trust and support of the people.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also underscored the imperative for collective effort in building and advancing the nation, prioritizing the maintenance of peace, preventing the return of war, and collaboratively safeguarding the accomplishments of past generations. The commitment extends to furthering progress and ensuring a legacy of achievements for the benefit of the succeeding generations.
In addition, premier Hun Manet added that the Cambodian people must be proud of the remarkable achievements that the nation has attained to date.
