Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 7 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), said that his successful introduction and implementation of the Win-win policy brought complete peace and national and territorial unity to the kingdom since the late 1998s.
Samdech Techo spoke on Sunday morning (Jan. 7) at the 45th Anniversary of January 7 Victory Day at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre, Phnom Penh.
"In order to completely achieve peace and national unity in Cambodia, Samdech Techo successfully introduced and implemented the Win-win policy that brought complete peace and national unity and territorial unity since the late 1998," the premier underscored.
This policy's success effectively ended centuries of wars, national divisions, and territorial disputes that had marked Cambodia's history for over 500 years. Cambodia's hard-earned peace laid a robust foundation for socio-economic development and contributes significantly to the success of the democratic process, Samdech Techo added.
On the occasion, Samdech Techo underlined the continuous reinforcement of liberal, multi-party democracy, human rights, and the rule of law in Cambodia. Particularly, the success of the 7th-mandate general election, showcasing Cambodia's mature democracy through widespread citizen participation and the election's legitimacy.
So far, the Royal Government under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet is carrying out its duties with the utmost responsibility for the destiny of the nation in order to maintain all achievements and promote economic growth, aiming to make Cambodia to become an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and build the foundation to achieve the vision of becoming high-income country by 2050.
